2017 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Federal & Provincial Peterborough-Kawartha NDP will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Peterborough Lions Centre (347 Burnham Street) at 7 pm.  Registration opens at 6:30.

All members in good standing & supporters are invited to attend.

  2. Provincial Convention will take place April 21 to 23 at the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto.

RESOLUTIONS AND RESOLUTION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
 
Article 7, Section 9 of the ONDP Constitution states:
9.1       Resolutions or constitutional amendments may be submitted by provincial constituency associations, area councils, affiliated organizations, Provincial Executive, Provincial Council, regional conferences, recognized ONDY clubs or Special Sections and Equity Committees (Article 11), and recognized Ethnic Advisory Committees (Article 12).
9.2       Resolutions to Provincial Council and Convention shall be passed at an Annual or General Meeting or Conference of the committee.
 
Resolutions can be submitted through the following website: http://www.ontariondp.ca/resolutions2017. They must be submitted by Friday March 17, 2017 at 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time.  If you require further information on this process, please contact douellette@on.ndp.ca. While it is vastly preferable for resolutions to be submitted through the resolutions website, Presidents or secretaries of ridings or affiliated organizations can send resolutions by email to resolutions@on.ndp.ca in Word or Richtext electronic format (other formats, including pdf, will NOT be accepted).
You must include:

  • Your name, position and contact information
  • Name of riding association, affiliated organization, area council or recognized committee submitting the resolution
  • Date of general meeting that approved it
  • Resolution's title
  • Word count (should not be more than 200)
  • Policy grouping of resolution (one of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Arts, Culture and Communications; Education; Economics; Electoral Reform; Environment, Energy and Natural Resources; Health; Housing; Justice, Human Rights, Law Enforcement and Equality; Labour; Aboriginal Rights, Bilingualism and Multiculturalism; Social Policy; Transportation; Urban Affairs; Internal Affairs and Party Constitution)
  • List of which existing resolutions it replaces or changes, if any.
